- Share...Alexandra Rutsch Brock is an artist, independent curator and educator.
Born in Westchester, NY, she received her BFA in Fine Art & Art Education K-12 from the School of Visual Arts, NY and her MS in Studio Art from the College of New Rochelle, NY.
She has been teaching at New Rochelle High School since 1991, where she started the annual Visiting Artists Program with Scott Seaboldt in 1993. Recent artists have included Spencer Finch (2025), Erika Ranee (2024), Judy Pfaff (2023) and John Yau (2022).
She has exhibited nationally, and curated in NY and CT. She has exhibited nationally, and curated over 70 exhibits in NY and CT. Her most recent “Among Friends 4” at Metaphor Projects in Brooklyn had 275 artists and raised $9000 for Planned Parenthood.

This exhibit brings together the evocative work of four artists exploring the edges of perception through ceramics and paintings. This dynamic exhibit delves into the intricacies of observation, the fleeting nature of time, and the complexity of existence. With a blend of quirky invention and emotional depth, the artists present imagined figures, surreal forms, and layered narratives that challenge reality while honoring its impermanence
